Infrastructure Engineer I

As a Desktop Engineer at Nium, you will be responsible for addressing user tickets related to hardware, software, and networking issues. You will assist customers in installing applications and computer peripherals, as well as provide technical support through remote access. Your role will involve customizing desktop applications to meet user and client needs, advising on software and hardware upgrades, and ensuring that client server systems are functioning properly. Additionally, you will create technical reports and manuals, and keep up with the latest advancements in computing technology. Key Responsibilities: - Address user tickets for hardware, software, and networking issues - Assist customers with application installations and peripherals - Provide technical support through remote access - Customize desktop applications for users and clients - Advise on software and hardware upgrades - Maintain a log of job tickets and maintenance tasks - Ensure client server systems are operational - Create technical reports and manuals - Stay updated on breakthroughs in computing technology Qualifications Required: - Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Desktop Engineer - Proven work experience as a desktop support engineer or support technician - Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems and peripherals - Familiarity with popular operating systems and software applications - Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues - Working knowledge of O365 mailing applications - Knowledge of security solutions such as Entra Active Directory, Antivirus, DLP, Zscaler Proxy services - Proficiency in Zoom, Slack, and video conferencing solutions - Understanding of firewalls - Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills - Availability for rotating shifts (24/5) to support global users and offices Please note that Nium values performance and offers competitive salaries, performance bonuses, recognition programs, and wellness benefits including medical coverage and employee assistance programs.
