Infrastructure Engineer

Project Role Description:

Assist in defining requirements, designing, and building data center technology components, as well as conducting testing efforts to ensure smooth infrastructure functioning.

Summary:

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing requirements, designing and implementing solutions, and conducting testing to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and manage team performance.
• Responsible for team decisions and engagement with multiple teams on key decisions.
• Provide solutions to problems for your immediate team and across multiple teams.
• Conduct regular infrastructure assessments and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement and maintain data center technologies, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design infrastructure solutions.
• Manage and monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and security.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in infrastructure engineering.
• Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must Have Skills:

  Proficiency in Internet Information Server (IIS) Administration.

• Good to Have Skills:

  Experience with Commvault Backup Administration.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and concepts.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Additional Information:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Internet Information Server (IIS) Administration is required.
• A minimum of 15 years of full-time education is required.
