Key responsibilities

• Design and development:

  Create, develop, and maintain high-quality automation test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver.

• Frameworks and architecture:

  Implement and maintain automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and other related tools (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber).

• Test execution:

  Execute automated tests across multiple environments and browsers, analyze test results, and provide feedback to improve application quality.

• API testing:

  Perform API testing using tools like Rest Assured.

• CI/CD integration:

  Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Git.

• Defect management:

  Identify, document, and track software defects and collaborate with development teams for timely resolution using tools like Jira.

• Team collaboration:

  Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Process improvement:

  Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for QA methodologies and best practices.

Required skills and qualifications

• Technical expertise:

  Deep hands-on experience with Java and Selenium for test automation.

• Testing frameworks:

  Strong knowledge and experience with test frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.

• BDD/TDD:

  Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using tools like Cucumber.

• API automation:

  Proven experience in API automation testing using Rest Assured.

• DevOps tools:

  Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).

• Database skills:

  Familiarity with databases and SQL for backend validation is often a requirement.

• Methodologies:

  A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

• Soft skills:

  Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
