Information Assistant

• An Information Assistant provides crucial support by organizing, managing, and disseminating information, handling inquiries (in-person, phone, email) for institutions like universities or libraries, assisting with data management, creating materials, and offering basic IT or administrative support, requiring strong communication, organization, and customer service skills to help users access accurate information efficiently.
• Key Responsibilities ** Information Delivery:** Answer questions, guide people to relevant departments, clarify procedures (admissions, library rules, etc.). ** Data & Records Management:** Organize, catalog, update databases, maintain records, manage user accounts. ** Material Preparation:** Create reports, presentations, charts, or flyers. ** Technical Support:** Assist with basic IT issues, computer/equipment usage (copiers, microfiche). ** Administrative Tasks:** Handle correspondence, process documents, manage schedules, process library loans.
