Summary

  • We have a fantastic opportunity in our Operations Excellence Team! This role could be based in India. This is a challenging role in which you will be responsible for designing, developing, budgeting and implementing automation systems on manufacturing level to optimize production processes

Role

  • The Industrial Automation Project Manager is responsible for designing, developing, budgeting and implementing automation systems on manufacturing level to optimize production processes.
  • Report on the project status, achievements, and lessons learned.
  • Sharing expertise and experience with others, mentoring and coaching project team members.
  • Overseeing the maturity of automation and level of maintenance of installations/lines.
  • Contributing to CAPEX multiple years planning in order to reach optimal level of reliability and bring Calderys to the next level of Industry 4.0.
  • Carry out feasibility studies, initiating, investigating and budgeting CAPEX projects.
  • Ensure that existing Industrial IT/OT systems are running and functioning optimally and support the continuous improvement of industrial processes.
  • Maintain the full overview of used systems and software applications of the full group.
  • Being the first point of contact for outages of production facilities caused by automation/business applications disruptors, Managing the DRP between Operations and IT
  • Collaborates closely with peers and cross-functional teams/managers (Operations/IT/OPEX & Quality) to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. He/She is acting interface between machine/manufacturing level and other business applications, (ERP/BUSINESS APPS, etc)
  • Train employees and ensure that they are proficient in using the systems and bring their full benefit to the efficiency of industrial processes and performance management of the sites.
  • Responsible for deployment of temporary engineers/consultants, E&I / automation (sub) contractors.
  • Travelling: 30-50%
  • The Industrial Automation Project Manager reports to the Director of Process and Industrial projects

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of the automation systems, tools, and standards that you are working with. Familiar with the different types of automation technologies, such as PLC s, HMI s, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols. -know how to design, configure, test, and troubleshoot automation solutions
  • Aware of the best practices, regulations, and safety standards that apply to our industry and domain.
  • Strong (PM) managerial skills that enable you to control the resources, tasks, and deliverables of the project.
  • Able to define the project scope, objectives, budget, and schedule, and monitor the project progress, quality, and performance. Able to manage the project risks, issues, changes, and dependencies, and implement appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Communicate effectively with the project team, internal clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders,
  • Build and maintain positive and productive relationships with the people involved in the project. Lead, motivate, and empower the project team, and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment. Being skilled in negotiating, persuading, and influencing your site clients and stakeholders, and managing their expectations and feedback. Capable to handle conflicts, challenges, and stress in a professional and constructive manner, in a multicultural environment
  • Having a continuous learning mindset that enables you to keep up with the latest trends, innovations, and developments in the field of automation. You need to be curious, proactive, and adaptable, and seek opportunities to acquire new knowledge, skills, and competencies that can enhance your performance, open to feedback, criticism, and suggestions, and learn.
  • Problem-solving skills that enable you to identify, analyze, and resolve the problems and challenges that arise during the projects and operations of the lines/machinery. Talent for simplifying.
  • Capable in executing projects with an Electrical/Civil/ Mechanical component.
  • +10 years of experience in similar field of automation and environment of brick/mineral/recycling processing.
  • Bachelor or master degree in Electrical / Automation , Mechatronics or gained by experience. (Strong technical background)
  • Broad knowledge of Directives such: CE, Machinery, ATEX, PGS, PED, NEN, EN norms, EHS norms
  • Familiar with: MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Excel, Office outlook,
  • Local Language, English fluently
