Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Indirect Taxation - Assistant Manager / Manager at Sanjiv Shah & Associates LLP, located in Chennai. Responsibilities include tax compliance, preparing and reviewing tax returns, and providing guidance on tax laws, drafting of responses to the departmental notices, preparing appeal drafts and advisory services. The role involves direct client interaction, working on taxation strategies, and assisting in audits related to indirect taxes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Indirect Tax Laws,
• Good Command over English Language to draft responses
• Legal Knowledge will be added advantage
• Expertise in tax compliance and tax preparation processes
• Comprehensive understanding of tax laws and their application
• Ability to provide expert insights on indirect taxation and regulations
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (a CA certification is highly preferred)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with client handling experience
• Proficiency in accounting and taxation software
