India Center Head Telecom Operations & Administration

As the India Center Head - Telecom Operations, you will play a crucial role in leading the strategic setup, operations, and scaling of our India delivery center. Your responsibilities will include overseeing telecom delivery, India center setup & administration, as well as people & delivery management. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead nationwide network deployment programs, covering wireless, wireline, and FTTx rollouts. - Drive large-scale fiber optic infrastructure projects including trenching, splicing, testing, and commissioning. - Oversee data center setup and operations, ensuring efficient rack & stack, structured cabling, cooling, and uptime management. - Ensure compliance with telecom regulations and customer SLAs for all projects. - Identify strategic India center location based on operational, cost, and talent availability parameters. - Plan and execute infrastructure build-out including interiors, IT setup, utilities, and physical security. - Manage the onboarding of support functions such as HR, Admin, Facilities, IT Support, Procurement, and Security. - Establish and maintain compliance with safety, labor laws, statutory clearances, and workplace regulations. - Build, scale, and lead cross-functional teams in network operations, engineering, project management, and service delivery. - Drive hiring, training, and organizational design for efficient execution and governance. - Own client satisfaction, program P&L, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Establish vendor ecosystems and service partners to support deployment and facility operations. **Required Experience & Skills:** - 15+ years of experience in telecom infrastructure with exposure to fiber rollout, network deployment, and data center operations. - Proven track record in setting up operational centers or leading regional hubs. - Strong understanding of real estate selection, facility build-outs, and center administration workflows. - Demonstrated success in managing large cross-geography projects and telecom infrastructure programs. - Ability to interact with senior leadership and drive outcomes across various areas. - Familiarity with tools, standards, and regulations related to telecom rollout, facility safety, and compliance. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering (Telecom, Electrical, Civil, or related disciplines). - PMP/ITIL or Infrastructure Facility Management certifications are a plus. - Experience working with global telecom clients and standards.
