Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete import lifecycle, including booking, freight coordination, customs clearance, and final delivery.
  • Prepare, verify, and maintain all import documentation (invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, COO, HS codes, etc.).
  • Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, international trade laws, and internal company policies.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and relevant authorities to resolve shipment issues.
  • Track and monitor shipments, providing timely updates to internal teams.
  • Analyze import costs and develop strategies to improve efficiency and reduce overall logistics expenses.
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and delivery lead times.
  • Conduct global market research to source new suppliers, materials, and products.
  • Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, payment terms, and long-term supply agreements.
  • Manage and evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and continuous improvement.
  • Develop procurement strategies aligned with business goals and cost optimization targets.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements, manage inventory, and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Support new product development through strategic sourcing and supplier onboarding.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Candidates with any degree can apply.
  • 7-15 years of professional experience

    in imports management, logistics, or international trade.
  • Strong expertise in import documentation, HS code classification, customs regulations, and Incoterms.
  • Proven procurement and sourcing experience (minimum 60% of responsibility in prior roles).
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills and strong vendor management capabilities.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems or supply chain management software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
