As an Import Logistics Manager at our company in Iraq, you will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end logistics for all inbound container shipments. You will be the primary point of contact for import operations, overseeing the logistics cycle and container management for high-volume shipments. Your expertise in negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management will be key to ensuring smooth operations and minimizing costs. Your fluency in Arabic and relocation willingness to Iraq are mandatory requirements for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the complete logistics cycle for high-volume inbound shipments to Iraq - Expertly manage 20ft & 40ft HC containers, handling bulk-loaded cargo and general cargo - Serve as the main liaison with shipping lines, negotiate freight rates, track shipments, and resolve issues - Direct relationships with customs clearing agents in Iraq, ensuring accurate and timely documentation for smooth customs clearance - Proactively identify and resolve logistics bottlenecks, documentation errors, or customs delays - Maintain detailed records of shipments, costs, and transit times, providing regular reports to senior management Required Qualifications & Skills: - 10-15 years of proven experience in import logistics - Demonstrable experience managing high volumes of containerized imports - Hands-on experience managing bulk cargo and general palletized/crated cargo - Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills - Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) and professional proficiency in English - Willingness to relocate to Iraq Preferred Qualifications: - Extensive international logistics experience, preferably in Iraq - Advanced skills in logistics software and MS Excel for tracking and reporting What We Offer: - Competitive tax-efficient salary package - Comprehensive relocation support including visa processing, flights, and secure housing - A senior, impactful role with significant responsibility and growth potential Please note that this is a full-time, on-site position in Iraq.
