Job Summary:

Import Documentation Executive

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage import documentation such as:
    • Bill of Entry
    • Invoice
    • Packing List
    • Certificate of Origin
    • Shipping Bill (for SEZ, if applicable)
    • Purchase Orders and LC documents
  • Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, and shipping lines for smooth customs clearance and cargo release
  • Monitor and track shipments (Air & Sea), follow up on ETA, DO collection, and timely delivery
  • File documentation through

    ICEGATE / EDI

    portals
  • Maintain accurate records of all imports and documentation in line with audit and compliance requirements
  • Handle duty calculations, HS code classifications, and ensure adherence to

    INCOTERMS

  • Liaise with accounts and warehouse teams for GRN, billing, and inward documentation
  • Prepare and share MIS reports on shipment status, duty payments, etc.

Key Skills Required:

  • Deep understanding of import clearance procedures
  • Knowledge of

    DGFT, Customs, and SEZ regulations

  • Familiarity with

    INCOTERMS

    and HS codes
  • Proficiency in

    MS Excel, Tally, or ERP systems

  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Time management and problem-solving ability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce, International Trade, or Logistics
  • Certification in Import/Export Management is a plus
