We are seeking a proficient Linux Engineer with strong experience in hosting and configuring PHP-based websites. The ideal candidate should be capable of setting up and managing servers using Apache and Nginx, monitoring system and application logs, and ensuring robust backup and restoration processes. Experience with Ubuntu systems, SSL implementation, and cloud environments is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Host, configure, and maintain PHP-based websites on Linux servers.
• Setup and manage Apache and Nginx web servers.
• Perform regular monitoring and analysis of system logs and application logs.
• Install and manage SSL certificates for secure site access.
• Apply regular patches and updates to Ubuntu servers.
• Manage and test backup and restoration procedures.
• Optimize server performance and ensure high availability.
• Work with cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Troubleshoot server, network, and application issues.
• Document server configurations and processes.

Technical Competency:

• Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator.
• Strong knowledge of PHP website hosting and configurations.
• Expertise with Apache and Nginx setup and tuning.
• Deep understanding of log monitoring and log analysis.
• Hands-on experience with SSL certificate installation.
• Proficiency with Ubuntu Linux, including patch management.
• Experience in system backup and disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and virtualization.

Functional Competency:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Scripting experience with Bash or Python.
• Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
• Exposure to Docker, firewalls, and DNS configuration is a plus.
