Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable SCADA applications using
Ignition Designer
,
Perspective
, and
Vision modules
.
Configure and manage
Ignition Gateway
(security, redundancy, performance tuning).
Develop and maintain
Tag Providers
,
Tag Historian
,
Alarm Pipelines
, and
Transaction Groups
.
Integrate Ignition with PLCs, RTUs, and field devices using
Modbus TCP/RTU
,
OPC UA
,
MQTT
,
DNP3
.
Implement real-time data acquisition, event logging, and historian integration.
Utilize
Python/Jython scripting
for custom logic and UI enhancements.
Work with
Ignition SDK
,
REST/SOAP Web Services
, and develop custom modules when required.
Design secure SCADA architectures aligned with
ISA95
,
ISA88
, and
IEC 62443
standards.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices.
Collaborate with automation engineers, IT, and operations teams.
Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, and provide training.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelors degree
in Engineering (Instrumentation, Control, Electronics, Computer Science).
58 years
hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA (Gateway configuration, Designer, scripting).
Gold Certification from
Inductive Automation
(Mandatory).
Strong knowledge of SCADA architecture and industrial automation systems.
Proficiency in
Python/Jython
,
SQL
, and Ignition expression language.
Experience with PLC programming (
Siemens
,
Allen-Bradley
,
Schneider
) is a plus.
