IE Manager

As an IE (Industrial Engineering) Manager in the Garment Industry Woven Sector based in Chennai, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Develop and set Operation Bulletin (OB) for all new and running styles. - Conduct method study and time study to ensure efficiency in production. - Calculate and monitor thread consumption for all orders accurately. - Work closely with merchandising, production, and quality teams to align operations with buyer requirements. - Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and resources. - Prepare and monitor SAM (Standard Allowed Minutes) for each operation. - Support production team in improving line efficiency and productivity. - Analyze bottlenecks in production and suggest improvements. - Train line supervisors and operators on best practices and methods. - Regularly monitor production data and prepare reports for management review. To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: - Degree/Diploma in Textile / Garment Technology / Industrial Engineering or related field. - Minimum 7-10 years of experience in the woven garment sector. - Strong knowledge in OB preparation, thread consumption calculation, SAM setting, and production efficiency improvement. - Good analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to lead a team and work cross-functionally with production & quality departments. - Proficiency in MS Excel and production-related software.
