Job Description

Job Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced ICT Teacher who has a strong foundation in teaching Information and Communication Technology (ICT) across the PYP to IGCSE framework. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of integrating technology into teaching, fostering students' computer skills, and ensuring they are well-prepared for the demands of the digital world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching & Curriculum Development:

    • Teach ICT to students across various segments of the International curriculum (PYP to IGCSE).
    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, ensuring students gain a deep understanding of computer systems, software applications, and digital literacy.
    • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Student Development:

    • Cultivate students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and computational skills.
    • Foster a passion for technology through innovative teaching methods.
    • Encourage students' independent learning and creativity through the use of technology.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork:

    • Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate ICT across various subjects.
    • Work with parents to update them on students progress and areas for development.
    • Participate in departmental and school-wide activities and initiatives.
  • Professional Development:

    • Stay updated with the latest trends in ICT education and continuously improve teaching strategies.
    • Attend professional development sessions as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education:

    Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in teaching ICT, ideally within an international curriculum framework (PYP, IGCSE).
  • Curriculum Knowledge:

    In-depth understanding of the International curriculum, especially PYP and IGCSE.
  • Skills:

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Highly organized with a capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
    • Strong classroom management skills.
    • Energetic, self-motivated, and results-driven.
    • Passionate about fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
    • Pleasant demeanor and a positive approach to student engagement.
