Job Description

Exp : 4yrs to 7yrs


  • Key requirements:

  • Should have 3 + years’ experience in TSM server 6.x version administration.
  • Knowledge of TSM policy management structure concepts like policy domain, policy set, management class, copy groups etc
  • Experience in monitoring Virtual tape library performance (VTL) on daily basis.
  • Node registration tasks for backup purposes
  • Knowledge of various backup methodology like full, incremental , progressive incremental, journal based backup etc.
  • Basic knowledge of various performance tuning parameters like thresholds, buffpool size, cache hit percentage etc.
  • Knowledge of TSM server/client deduplication.
  • TSM database, recovery log, storage pools performance monitoring
  • Daily backup status, health check, performance reporting and monitoring .
  • Should have knowledge of OS flavours like Unix, Windows , etc.
  • Should have good communication and customer interaction skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting (problem determination/resolution) skills.

Knowledge of ITIL or equivalent processes (Incident, Change Process

  • and Problem Management) is a must
