IBM i Systems (AS400) Specialist

We are looking for an experienced AS400/iSeries Developer to support us in our upcoming Branch Creation Task. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in IBM (AS400/iSeries) systems with strong technical and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support branch creation activities on AS400/iSeries platform
• Develop and maintain CL programs (scripts, start programs, script running, and error handling)
• Perform database operations including updates, queries, and modifications using SQL
• Manage data queues, data areas, libraries, and library lists
• Handle DBM tasks including working with and changing databases
• Configure and maintain DDM connections between iSeries systems
• Work with iASP, Journals, Subsystems, Job Descriptions, and Job Planning entries
• Create, configure, and manage Triggers
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system and program errors
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of branch creation processes

Required Skills & Expertise

• Strong knowledge of AS400/iSeries commands (eg, WRKNETF, etc)
• Proficiency in CL programming and script error handling
• Hands-on experience with SQL (SELECT, UPDATE, etc)
• Understanding of Dataqueues and Data Areas (DTAARA)
• Familiarity with DBM tasks, DDM connections, and iASP
• Good knowledge of Journals, Triggers, Subsystems, Job Descriptions, and Job Planning Entries
• Proven ability in error analysis and resolution
