About the Role

IBM ELM Solution Architect

Key Responsibilities:

·      Define, document, and implement scalable and maintainable architectures using the IBM ELM suite including:

• DOORS Next
• Engineering Workflow Management (EWM)
• Engineering Test Management (ETM)
• Global Configuration Management (GCM)

·      Lead technical design discussions and propose end-to-end solutions for systems engineering and software development lifecycle requirements.

·      Develop and maintain solution roadmaps aligned with enterprise Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) transformation goals.

·      Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify future needs, and translate them into actionable architectural plans.

·      Design integrations with third-party tools using Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC), RESTful APIs, and the RTC SDK.

·      Define and oversee implementation plans, ensuring consolidation of changes and delivering solutions within agreed timelines.

·      Provide guidance on best practices for version control using Git-based systems (desired).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·      8+ years of experience working with IBM ELM tools, including:

• PureVariants
• SmartFacts
• DOORS / DOORS Next
• Windchill Modeller

·      Expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.

·      In-depth knowledge of Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC).

·      Experience integrating IBM ELM with third-party tools using OSLC, REST APIs, and RTC SDK.

·      Proficiency in Python for scripting and application development (optional but preferred).

·      Familiarity with Git-based version control systems is a plus.

·      Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

·      Excellent communication skills and ability to document architectural designs and implementation plans.
