IB Analyst

Role Overview: As a SOx IB Analyst at Barclays, your core responsibility will be to execute design assessment and operating effectiveness testing of controls in accordance with testing plans and aligned to relevant policies, procedures, and quality standards. This will provide assurance to management that the processes and controls within the reviewed Business Unit are effectively designed and operating to mitigate the identified risks. You will be based in the Chennai and Noida office, partnering with the bank to provide independent assurance on control processes and advise on improvements to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework. Your accountabilities will include collaborating across the bank to maintain a satisfactory, robust, and efficient control environment, developing detailed test plans and procedures, communicating key findings and observations to relevant stakeholders, and developing a knowledge center containing detailed documentation of control assessments. Key Responsibilities: - Execute design assessment and operating effectiveness testing of controls as per testing plans. - Ensure alignment with relevant policies, procedures, and quality standards. - Provide assurance to management on the effectiveness of processes and controls within the reviewed Business Unit. - Partner with the bank to provide independent assurance on control processes and suggest improvements. - Collaborate across the bank to maintain a robust and efficient control environment. - Develop detailed test plans and procedures. - Communicate key findings and observations to relevant stakeholders. - Develop a knowledge center containing detailed documentation of control assessments. - Perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard consistently driving continuous improvement. - Lead and supervise a team, guiding and supporting professional development. Qualifications Required: - Fresh Qualified Chartered accountant with articleship experience in a reputed firm / MBA Finance with relevant work experience. - Understanding of SOx and Risk Management practices including Internal Audit. - Ability to communicate internal control concepts clearly, in a business context. - Ability to interpret, analyze, and derive logical conclusions on data patterns. - Verbal and written communication skills to deal with internal and external stakeholders. - Proficiency in using MS Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power-point) is highly valued. - Basic knowledge of internal control and regulatory requirements & practice (e.g., Turnbull, Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO). - Basic awareness of the specific current requirements of the US GAAP / IFRS/IAS regimes is highly valued.,
