Job Summary

IT Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Network Infrastructure Management:

  Configure, install, and maintain switches, routers, and firewalls to ensure secure and efficient operations.

• CCTV Surveillance Systems:

  Install, configure, and monitor CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR systems, and ensure data backup and security.

• Security & Firewall Administration:

  Implement and maintain security policies, firewall rules, and intrusion prevention systems.

• MAC Address Management:

  Manage MAC filtering, address reservations, and device authentication.

• Troubleshooting & Support:

  Diagnose and resolve connectivity, performance, and hardware/software issues.

• Performance Monitoring:

  Track bandwidth usage, optimize performance, and minimize downtime.

• Documentation:

  Maintain updated network diagrams, configurations, and asset inventory.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with IT teams and vendors to ensure smooth operations and timely project delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum

  2 years

  of relevant experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with

  CCTV systems, switches, routers, firewalls

  , and security tools.
• Strong understanding of

  TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs

  , and MAC address configuration.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, Nagios, SolarWinds).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
