1. Specialized Cleanroom Expertise (Crucial for Syntec)

• ISO Standards Knowledge:

  Deep understanding of

  ISO 14644-1

  (Cleanroom Classifications ISO 5, 6, 7, 8) and

  EU GMP/WHO GMP

  guidelines (Grade A, B, C, D).

• Contamination Control:

  Ability to design pressure cascades (positive/negative pressure) to prevent cross-contamination between zones.

• Filtration Systems:

  Expertise in selecting and placing HEPA/ULPA filters, Terminal Filter Modules (TFM), and understanding Fan Filter Units (FFU).

• Airflow Patterns:

  Knowledge of Laminar (Unidirectional) vs. Turbulent airflow and designing appropriate air change rates (ACH) for different classes.

• Cleanroom Architecture:

  Familiarity with modular partition panels, coving, pass boxes (static/dynamic), and air showers.

• Validation Protocols:

  Ability to assist in DQ, IQ, OQ, and PQ (Design, Installation, Operational, Performance Qualification) documentation.

2. Commercial & Estimation Skills (BOQ Focus)

• Detailed Quantity Take-offs:

  Proficiency in extracting exact quantities of ducting (sq. m/ft), piping, insulation, and cabling from 2D/3D drawings.

• Cost Analysis:

  Ability to prepare "Rate Analysis" for individual items (e.g., cost of sheet metal + labor + wastage + margin).

• Vendor Management:

  Sourcing quotes for specialized equipment (Chillers, AHUs, VRF) and negotiating technical specs vs. price.

• Tender Documentation:

  Preparation of technical data sheets, compliance statements, and commercial bids for clients.

• Billing & Measurement:

  Measuring work done on-site (JMR - Joint Measurement Records) and certifying contractor bills against the BOQ.

3. Core HVAC Technical Skills

• Heat Load Calculation:

  Proficiency using

  HAP (Hourly Analysis Program)

  or E-20 forms to calculate tonnage for critical environments.

• Psychrometrics:

  Mastering psychrometric charts to control strict Relative Humidity (RH) and Temperature limits (vital for Pharma production).

• Equipment Selection:

  Sizing and selecting Air Handling Units (AHUs), DX Units, Chillers, and Dehumidifiers based on CFM and static pressure calculation.

• Duct Design:

  Designing duct routing according to

  SMACNA

  standards (low/medium pressure) and selecting proper gauge/GSS coating (120 GSM, etc.).

4. Project Management & Site Execution

• Site Coordination:

  Coordinating between Civil (false ceiling/flooring), Electrical (cabling for HVAC), and HVAC teams to avoid clashes.

• Scheduling:

  Using

  MS Project

  or Excel to create Gantt charts for project timelines (installation vs. commissioning dates).

• Snag Management:

  Identifying installation defects (leakages, poor insulation) and ensuring rectification before final handover.

• Safety Compliance:

  Ensuring site safety protocols (PPE, hot work permits) are followed during duct erection and piping work.

5. Software Proficiency

• AutoCAD (2D/3D):

  For drafting layouts, sections, and "Good for Construction" (GFC) drawings.

• Microsoft Excel (Advanced):

  Using Pivot tables and formulas for complex BOQ calculations and cost tracking.

• Revit MEP (Bonus):

  Familiarity with BIM for detecting clashes in complex plant rooms.
