Educational Qualifications:

• B.Tech / B.E.

  in any discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil preferred)

• Diploma in Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety

  (Mandatory or preferred)
• Safety Certifications such as:
  

• NEBOSH IGC

• IOSH Managing Safely

• OSHA 30-Hour

• Other relevant safety certifications (First Aid, Risk Assessment, Fire Fighting, etc.)
  

Experience:

• 3 to 4 years

  of experience as an HSE Officer in solar power plant or industrial construction projects.
• Experience in handling safety aspects in

  EPC/Infrastructure/Renewable Energy

  projects preferred.
• Familiarity with national and international safety standards and statutory regulations
  

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement and Monitor

   the HSE plan and ensure compliance at the solar project construction site.
2. Conduct

   daily site inspections

   to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
3. Facilitate

   Toolbox Talks

   , safety inductions, and awareness programs for site workers.
4. Ensure proper use of

   PPEs

   , safety equipment, and fire-fighting appliances at all times.
5. Maintain records of

   incidents, near-misses, risk assessments, and safety audits

   .
6. Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure their compliance with HSE policies.
   
7. Ensure implementation of

   Permit to Work

   systems (Hot Work, Confined Space, etc.)
8. Conduct

   Accident/Incident Investigations

   , root cause analysis, and follow-up corrective actions.
9. Liaise with government and local authorities during site inspections and ensure all licenses/permits are up to date.
   
10. Promote a strong

    safety culture

    across the site workforce and engage in continuous safety improvement.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of safety inspection, audit, and risk assessment methods
  
• Familiar with

  Permit to Work (PTW)

  systems,

  Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

  , and

  HIRA

• Good communication and report-writing skills
  
• Ability to conduct

  toolbox talks

  , safety induction & training
• Proficient in using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting
  
• Strong leadership and coordination abilities
  
• Awareness of environmental protection practices and waste management
