Job Description

The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in guest rooms, hallways, and public areas to ensure a comfortable and hygienic environment for guests. This role requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to providing excellent service. Key Responsibilities: Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, and assigned public areas according to hotel standards. Change linens, make beds, and replace towels and toiletries. Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust furniture and fixtures. Report any maintenance issues or room damage to the supervisor. Restock supplies such as toilet paper, tissue boxes, laundry bags, and minibar items. Handle guest belongings with care and maintain guest privacy. Dispose of trash and recyclables properly. Adhere to safety and sanitation policies. Follow all company policies and procedures regarding uniforms, grooming, and attendance. Respond promptly and politely to guest requests and inquiries. Work collaboratively with other departments (e.g., front office, maintenance). Requirements: Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience (preferred, but not mandatory). Physical stamina and ability to lift, bend, and stand for long periods. Attention to detail and thoroughness. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Basic understanding of English or the local language (for communication purposes). Flexible to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
