Job Description: Mechanized Cleaning and Housekeeping Works

• Project Location: Grant Road to Cuffe Parade Metro Stations (08 Stations), Aqua Line-3, Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL)

Position Title:

• Housekeeping & Mechanized Cleaning Staff

Work Location:

• All 08 stations between Grant Road – Cuffe Parade (Aqua Line-3, MMRCL)

Job Type:

• Full-time / Contract-based (as per project requirement)

Key Responsibilities:

1. __Station Cleaning & Housekeeping

• __Perform daily mechanised cleaning of station premises, including concourse, platforms, ticketing areas, escalators, lifts, and staircases.
• _ _Maintain high standards of hygiene in waiting areas, washrooms, offices, and passenger zones.
• __Ensure dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and washing of floors, walls, and ceilings as per schedule.

__2. __Mechanised Equipment Handling

• _ _Operate and maintain modern cleaning equipment such as ride-on scrubber dryers, high-pressure jet machines, vacuum cleaners, sweepers, and polishing machines.
• _ _Report breakdowns, malfunctions, or maintenance needs of cleaning equipment.

__3. __Waste Management

• _ _Ensure collection, segregation, and disposal of waste as per MMRCL’s waste management guidelines.
• _ _Empty dustbins at regular intervals and maintain cleanliness in public areas.

__4. __Public Area Sanitation

• _ _Maintain clean and odor-free washrooms with adequate supplies of consumables (tissue, soap, sanitizers, etc.).
• _ _Periodic deep cleaning of washrooms, drinking water points, and staff restrooms.

__5. __Safety & Compliance

• _ _Follow safety protocols while performing cleaning activities inside metro stations.
• _ _Use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as gloves, masks, and uniforms at all times.
• _ _Adhere to MMRCL housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with environmental and health guidelines.

__6. __Team & Shift Work

• _ _Work in rotational shifts (24x7 operations) to ensure round-the-clock station cleanliness.
• _ _Coordinate with station staff, supervisors, and MMRCL authorities for smooth functioning.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• __Minimum 5th Pass or equivalent.
• _ _Experience in mechanized cleaning / facility management / metro or airport housekeeping preferred.
• Ability to operate and maintain cleaning machines and equipment.
• _ _Basic knowledge of safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• _ _Physically fit to perform cleaning duties across large station areas.
