Role Purpose
- The purpose of this role is to drive excellence and consistency in Technology Operations across AMER hotels.
Key Accountabilities
- Collectively Responsible for the implementation, support and standardisation of the Network Infrastructure (WAN) and Network solutions (LAN) used in hotels.
- Ensures that hotel network infrastructure and systems is in line with agreed SLA s, capacity & availability targets.
- Reduce network infrastructure costs by working with colleagues to deliver new solutions that drive hotel and owner value or
- Develop and produce documentation and SOPs for Network infrastructure both technical delivery and detailed hotel network diagrams to help simplify support and fault fixing.
- Support the delivery of NHOPS, hotel conversions, portfolio deals, and hotel exits through the timely deployment of Network technology solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Global Technology and the Product teams to drive the delivery and standardisation of network infrastructure across the enterprise.
- Proactively engage with the Business Unit teams to ensure that key stakeholders, including hotel IT managers, are consistently engaged and that best practices are shared in both directions.
- Be a technical SME in the region for Networks and Infrastructure, providing mentorship for less senior colleagues.
Key Skills & Experiences
Education
1) University Degree or Equivilient in a technical subject that shows aptitude in understanding complex and technical subjects.
2) Strong Network knowledge such as FortiGate, Aruba, Cisco, Cisco Meraki with a CCNP qualification or higher and proven hands-on experience.
3) Compute management for existing and the future including Ivanti, MDT, Azura, Entra, Intune, AutoPilot, and MDM.
4) Hotel Solutions desirable. .
Experience
5+ years practical experience with a strong technical understanding of Infrastructure, Network technology, Firewalls, VPN/SDWan and WAN/LAN
Technical Skills and Knowledge
- L3/L4 Technical expertise in Firewalls, LAN, VPN, and SDWan technologies.
- Experience working as part of a project team for large network deployment projects.
- Strong communication, co-ordination and organizational skills.
- Basic / Foundation Microsoft Windows infrastructure including Active Directory
- Understanding of how to automate common infrastructure processes
- Results oriented, is able to achieve desired outcomes independently and at appropriate priority levels
- Experience in engaging cross functional working partnerships in a global organization
