Host/Hostess

Job Brief:
We are seeking a warm, engaging, and customer-focused Host/Hostess to join our restaurant team. As the face of the restaurant, you’ll be the first to welcome our guests and ensure they enjoy a smooth and memorable dining experience from the moment they step in.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests courteously, ensuring a friendly first impression.
• Manage reservations and maintain accurate seating charts.
• Coordinate table assignments based on guest preferences, staff rotation, and restaurant flow.
• Maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours, updating guests on wait times.
• Keep the host area neat, tidy, and welcoming at all times.
• Provide menus, highlight specials, and answer basic questions related to the menu.
• Communicate efficiently with servers and managers to ensure smooth service.
• Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally and with empathy.
• Assist with large groups, events, and special requests.
• Support fellow team members as needed during busy service hours.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (hospitality experience preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with reservation systems.
• Calm under pressure with a polished, guest-oriented attitude.
• Attention to detail and a professional presentation.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
