Horticulturist

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain the health of plants, trees, flowers, and lawns across designated areas.
  
• Plan and execute seasonal planting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control activities.
  
• Design and develop planting schemes or assist with landscape layout planning.
  
• Maintain irrigation systems and ensure proper watering schedules.
  
• Identify and treat plant diseases and pest infestations using organic or chemical solutions.
  
• Conduct regular inspections of landscaped areas to ensure cleanliness and plant vitality.
  
• Recommend suitable plant species based on soil, climate, and aesthetic requirements.
  
• Maintain horticultural tools and equipment; ensure proper storage and safety.
  
• Collaborate with landscaping teams, groundskeepers, or contractors for large-scale projects.
  
• Keep records of plant care schedules, pesticide usage, and seasonal changes.
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, Botany, or a related field.
  
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in horticulture or landscaping.
  
• Strong knowledge of plant species, soil types, fertilizers, and pest management.
  
• Ability to identify plant diseases and apply suitable treatments.
  
• Familiarity with landscaping tools, irrigation systems, and modern horticultural practices.
  
• Attention to detail, creativity in garden design, and passion for plants and sustainability.
  
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
