Role : Horticulturist

Location : Bangalore

Purpose - The purpose of this role is to support landscape architects by assisting with plant selection, developing planting plans, and research tasks.

• Approval drawings: Assist in preparation of necessary drawings for statutory clearance. Concept stage: Assist in preparation of planting palette with consideration of local climate, soil condition and biodiversity
• Schematic / Design development stage / Construction documentation / Tender drawings: Assist in preparing planting plans, schedules, and specifications in coordination with landscape architects.
• Plant Library: Prepare and maintain a detailed plant library with specifications, usage guidelines, and suitability by region and function.
• Share inputs and coordinate closely with estimation team to prepare preliminary budget and detailed BOQ for softscape upon completion of detail drawings.
• Closely coordinating with site team, by overseeing planting execution and soil preparation works in coordination with irrigation setup and providing effective resolution for any issues encountered during project execution.
• RFI: Keeping track of softscape related RFI sent by site team and ensuring appropriate response / acknowledgment email is sent within 2 days of receiving the same. Sending out responses to RFI as per correct format and set protocol.
• Undertake plant selection suited to specific site conditions, climate, soil types, and aesthetic goals.
• Collaborate with landscape architects during concept and detailed design stages to integrate horticultural best practices.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Keeping track of emerging trends and best horticultural practices, with a focus on sustainable, biodiverse, and ecologically responsible planting design; continually expand the plant library to support informed design decisions and enhance project outcomes.
• Ensure all documents, including drawings, specifications, and reports are systematically organized, accurately filed, and easily accessible.

Requirement

M. Sc Horticulture with 7+ yrs experience in Real estate experience of large scale project.
