Homologation Engineer

As a Test Scheduling and Type Approval Specialist, your role involves planning and executing test schedules and type approval applications to meet Indian and Global vehicle regulatory requirements. You must have a clear understanding of both Indian and Global vehicle regulatory requirements at vehicle and component levels to comply with various authorities" regulations. Effective communication is crucial for discussing and identifying regulatory requirements with approval authorities and collaborating with internal engineering teams and different departments to ensure project completion. Your focus should be on researching, interpreting, and documenting homologation requirements to stay compliant with current and future global regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Work cross-functionally with design, engineering, and testing teams to keep them updated on regulatory changes, monitoring, reporting processes, and obtain necessary documentation. - Create and maintain regulatory applications for different markets of interest. - Prepare documentation highlighting regulatory requirements for various programs. - Manage in-house and third-party regulatory testing before major approval events. - Develop and document working knowledge of existing and upcoming automotive regulations. - Assist in homologation program management to effectively plan for regulation changes. - Support manufacturing in tasks such as labelling, COP, annual Homologation updates, etc. Desired Qualifications: - Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. - 4-8 years of experience with a general understanding of the Automotive industry. - Basic understanding of Mechanical and Electrical aspects of EVs. - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally. - Excellent communication skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders. - Willingness to travel domestically and potentially internationally as required. - Ability to deliver results under time-sensitive circumstances. Key Competencies: - Experience in Automotive regulatory compliance and certification programs. - Prior experience in supporting testing for regulatory approvals and follow-ups at respective facilities. - Familiarity with regulatory authorities like ARAI, GARC, ICAT, and ability to coordinate certification activities. - Proficiency in change and project management principles while closely working with program management teams.,
