What you will do

• Implement software solutions in alignment with project design documents and requirements.
• Evaluate and compare technical tools and solutions to determine the most effective approach.
• Report and escalate project issues in a timely manner to ensure smooth delivery.
• Conduct thorough unit testing to ensure high-quality deliverables with minimal defects during QA and UAT.
• Support production systems by investigating root causes and implementing solutions within agreed SLAs.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project goals and adapt to changing requirements or timelines.
• Prioritise business needs and demonstrate flexibility and dedication to project success.
• Propose and implement innovative ideas and software enhancements.

What skills you need

• Strong proficiency in Core Java and Java 8; awareness of Java 11, 17, and 21 features.
• Experience in microservices development using Spring Boot.
• Solid understanding of Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring AOP, Spring JDBC, and Spring Data.
• Proficiency in JPA with Hibernate.
• Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs.
• Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with Generics, Collections, Multi-threading, and Concurrency.
• Unit testing using JUnit with code coverage.
• Familiarity with RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Version control using Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• Clean code practices.

Good to have skills

• Experience with code analysis tools like SonarQube.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, etc.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana.
• Awareness of tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
