QA Assurance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and testers to achieve high-performance standards.
  
• Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
  
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and guide career development for team members.
  
• Develop training materials and programs to elevate the skills of the QA team.
  

• Quality Assurance Strategy:

• Design, implement, and continuously improve software testing strategies and methodologies.
  
• Oversee the creation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
  
• Ensure testing coverage aligns with project requirements, client expectations, and industry best practices.
  

• Test Process Optimization:

• Drive automation and manual testing strategies to ensure efficient and thorough testing across the software lifecycle.
  
• Introduce new testing tools and frameworks to streamline the testing process and improve productivity.
  
• Continuously monitor and improve the testing process, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  

• Collaboration with Stakeholders:

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and design comprehensive testing solutions.
  
• Serve as the QA liaison between teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across functions.
  
• Report test results, quality metrics, and project status to stakeholders and senior management.
  

• Defect Management:

• Oversee defect lifecycle management, including identifying, logging, tracking, and resolving defects.
  
• Analyze defect trends and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.
  
• Ensure that the software release meets the required quality standards, making necessary recommendations for improvement.
  

• Compliance & Documentation:

• Ensure that all testing is conducted in compliance with internal quality standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  
• Maintain thorough documentation of testing procedures, results, and quality reports.
  
• Stay updated on industry trends, new testing tools, and methodologies to implement best practices.
  

Key Requirements:

• Experience:

• 9-12 years of experience in software testing, with at least 4-5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  
• Strong experience with both manual and automated testing methodologies.
  
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar tools.
  
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and delivering high-quality software products.
  

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, ALM) and defect tracking systems.
  
• Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for writing automation scripts.
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of testing into DevOps environments.
  
• Knowledge of performance testing tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, or similar.
  
• Experience with mobile testing and cloud-based testing environments is a plus.
  

• Education:

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  

• Soft Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
  
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
  
• High attention to detail and quality.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  
• Certifications such as ISTQB, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or similar.
  
• Experience working with distributed or offshore teams.
  
• Familiarity with security and performance testing best practices.
  
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts for test automation is a plus.
