Job Description

SUMMARY Reinforcing Steel Worker Job Description Reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and blueprints to identify the necessary steel reinforcement requirements for concrete structures. Choosing the appropriate type, size, and layout of steel bars or mesh based on project specifications and needs. Preparing, cutting, and shaping steel reinforcement bars according to project specifications using various tools such as cutting torches, bending machines, or manual hand tools. Placing steel bars within concrete molds (formwork) to ensure structural integrity and securing them with wire to maintain proper alignment and spacing. Fastening steel bars with binding wire or welding to secure their position during concrete pouring and constructing reinforcement cages for larger projects. Ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards, including performing inspections and following safety protocols. Collaborating with other construction team members and site supervisors to seamlessly integrate steel reinforcement into the overall construction process. Requirements Requirements: Preferred experience in steel fixing or a related field. Proficiency in interpreting construction drawings and blueprints. Knowledge of safety procedures and safe handling of heavy materials. Strong teamwork and communication abilities. Benefits 3 years contract, will be renewed for more years.
