Hiring For Senior Process Engineer | Oil & Gas | Hyderabad

Job Title:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer specializing in fuel gas stations, gas treatment, and process design for oil & gas applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in P&ID development, process simulation (HYSYS/UniSim), HAZOP studies, and equipment sizing (PSVs, separators, heat exchangers). This role requires leadership in process safety, technical documentation, and compliance with industry standards.Role and Responsibilities

Process Design & Engineering:

• Should have experience in Oil & Gas Upstream Industry, worked in the Glycol Packages (TEG, MEG), Dehydration, Desalting, Three Phase & Two-phase Separation Units, Gas Processing, Gas Filtration Units, Fuel gas Systems.

• Develop PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams) and P&IDs

• Perform process simulations (steady state & dynamic) using Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, or equivalent.

• Design separation systems, gas sweetening units, and heat integration networks.

• Conduct heat & mass balance calculations and optimize process efficiency.

• Size critical equipment: PSVs, pumps, separators, distillation columns, heat exchangers, reactors, and boilers.

Safety & Compliance:

• Lead

  HAZOP, SIL assessment, and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)

  studies.

• Ensure compliance with

  API, ASME, NFPA, and OSHA standards.

• Develop

  Cause & Effect matrices, safeguarding narratives, and alarm/trip lists.

• Review

  PSM (Process Safety Management) requirements

  and implement best practices.

Technical Documentation & Calculations:

• Prepare

  Datasheets

  (Pumps, Heaters, Filters, Boilers, Burners, etc.).

• Generate

  Line Lists, Utility Consumption Lists, and Equipment Lists.

• Perform

  piping velocity calculations, hydraulic studies, and PSV sizing reports.

• Draft

  Operating & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals

  and

  Process Design Basis.

Project & Stakeholder Coordination:

• Collaborate with

  mechanical, instrumentation, and piping teams

  for integrated design.
• Support

  EPC contractors, vendors, and construction teams

  during execution.
• Mentor

  junior engineers

  and review engineering deliverables for accuracy.

Technical Expertise:

• 8+ years

  in

  process design for oil & gas, petrochemical, or fuel gas systems

  .
• Expertise in

  Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, or equivalent process simulation tools

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  HAZOP, SIL, PSM, and functional safety standards (IEC 61511)

  .
• Familiarity with

  CAD tools (AutoCAD, SmartPlant P&ID)

  and

  CFD analysis (preferred)

  .
• Experience in

  EPC projects, FEED studies, or plant commissioning

  .

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• BE/B Tech/ M Tech in Chemical / Process Engineering or related field. or a related field (or equivalent)

Preferred Skills

• Experience in modular skids & packages Industry.
• Familiar with

  EPC workflows

  and Oil & Gas plant design lifecycle
• Ability to mentor junior designers and review drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• 10 to 20 years
