Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Collect, analyze, and report on cost data, including product costing, variance analysis and standard costing.
Preparation of annual budgets and interim financial forecasts and monitoring actual expenses against these plans. Compare actual costs to budgeted costs, investigate discrepancies, and report findings to management.
Prepare internal reports, journal entries, and account reconciliations, especially during month-end closing activities.
Recommend strategies to control costs, optimize resource allocation, and enhance operational efficiency.
Develop, maintain, and update standard costs for products and routing changes for cost implications.
Monitor inventory levels, costs, oversee inventory valuation, participate in physical counts, and reconcile inventory records.

Preferred candidate profile

Cost Accountant with a post qualification experience of 5 to 7 years in SAP environment of a large-scale manufacturing industry.
