Business- Gas Function- Detail Engineering Department- Project Management Role Piping Engineer - Mechanical. 1) Role Purpose- This role will be responsible for contributing to the design and development of mechanical systems and components and supporting on time delivery of projects. 2) Education Requirement- • Bachelors degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Piping engineering in the relevant discipline or equivalent. 3) Experience (In Years) 4- 8 Yrs (Experience is required from Oil & Gas industry) 3) Key Skills Required Knowledge of Piping and pressure vessels codes and standards. Working knowledge of design of Pressure vessels. Knowledge of Pressure vessel, pipe fittings, flange & valve components. Working knowledge of MS Office, ISO 9000 & QHSE. Working knowledge of design of Piping sizing, pressure drop, GAD review , ISOMETRIC review, PIPING MTO review. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. 4) Key Responsibilities / Tasks / Activities Prepare technical documentation with minimal revisions to meet desired delivery schedule Create designs which match customer requirements using mechanical codes and standards Timely respond to non-conformities and maintain the same for further analysis Collaborate with purchase, external vendors for timely BOM preparation Timely issuance of production orders to achieve scheduled delivery date Provide support in identifying and listing product varieties to help standardize key products Actively follow 5S procedures and Participate in 5 S / kaizen / System Improvement activities Preparation of Line Blank Thickness Calculation. Familiar with Material Grades ASTM, ASME, API, etc. Knowledge in Testing and Inspection Requirements for Piping Components and Valves Compliance with Specifications and Industrial Quality Standards. Coordinate with Civil/Structural & Mechanical groups to ensure loads are being effectively communicated. Perform reinforcement evaluation at pipe supports and branch connections. Prepare project piping support specification & Design Basis. Perform Procurement Engineering within stipulated time frame of the project. Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, third party consultants, etc. to ensure timely review of documents and that comments are made with required quality level.
