Hiring For Confluent KAFK Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Build producers, consumers, and stream-processing applications.

Develop Kafka Connect pipelines to integrate with external data systems (databases, cloud

storage, APIs).

Implement schema evolution strategies with Confluent Schema Registry (Avro, Protobuf,

JSON).

Operations & Monitoring

Manage topic creation, partitions, replication, retention policies.

Monitor cluster health, throughput, and latency using tools like Confluent Control Center,

Prometheus, Grafana, etc.

Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, consumer lag, and broker issues.

Security & Governance

Implement authentication and authorization (SASL, Kerberos, SSL, RBAC).

Enforce data governance, compliance, and auditing policies.

Collaboration

Work with data engineers, application developers, and platform teams to deliver end-to-end

streaming solutions.

Provide Kafka expertise for system design reviews and architecture discussions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience in Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform (35+ years preferred).

Expertise in Kafka Connect, KSQL, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry.

Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python for developing Kafka producers/consumers.

Hands-on experience with cloud deployments (AWS MSK, Confluent Cloud, GCP

Pub/Submigration).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker for Kafka containerized deployments.

Solid understanding of distributed systems, messaging, and event-driven architecture.

Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk).

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Have

Confluent Certified Developer/Admin.

Experience with Big Data ecosystems (Spark, Flink, Hadoop).

Exposure to data governance & observability frameworks.

Knowledge of financial services, telecom, or retail real-time data use cases
