Role Overview

English Tutors

Key Responsibilities

Conduct online, 1:1 ELA tutoring sessions aligned with the
US Common Core Curriculum
.
Teach and reinforce
phonics skills
for early and developing readers.
Support students in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and overall language development.
Customize teaching methods based on individual learning styles and academic needs.
Monitor and record student performance, attendance, and session feedback accurately.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in
English, Education, or a related field
.
Demonstrated English proficiency (equivalent to
IELTS 7.5 / TOEFL iBT 100
or higher).
Successful completion of
Rev Prep’s subject assessments and background checks
.
Completion of all required
training programs
prior to onboarding.

Experience & Technical Requirements

3–6 years of teaching or tutoring experience
is mandatory.
Prior experience teaching the
Common Core Curriculum
is required.
Hands-on experience teaching
phonics
, especially to early-grade learners.
Strong communication, patience, and student engagement skills.
Must own a
laptop with an i5/i7 processor
, reliable
Wi-Fi
, and
power backup
.
