Highway Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out

  geometric and alignment design

  of highways and roads using software such as

  MX Road, OpenRoads, or Civil 3D

  in accordance with relevant standards and client requirements.
• Design

  junctions/intersections

  including layouts and capacity analysis.
• Prepare

  signage and road marking plans

  as per applicable codes and guidelines.
• Develop

  drainage designs

  for highways and associated infrastructure.
• Generate miscellaneous design drawings and reports required during project execution.
  
• Contribute to the preparation of

  Detailed Project Reports (DPRs)

  and detailed design submissions.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, consultants, and client representatives to ensure timely and accurate delivery of designs.
  
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, design codes, and best practices throughout the design process.
  
• Review contractor/consultant submissions and provide technical feedback as necessary.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficiency in

  highway design software

  such as MX Road, OpenRoads, and/or AutoDesk Civil 3D.
• Strong understanding of

  IRC, MoRTH, AASHTO

  or equivalent design standards.
• Sound knowledge of highway drainage, pavement design concepts, and road safety principles.
  
• Excellent technical report writing and presentation skills.
  
• Strong teamwork, communication, and coordination skills.
