Description
You will be responsible for cost estimation, negotiating, and project management for HVAC projects while ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. Your main tasks will include: - Reviewing project drawings, specifications, and documents to prepare detailed HVAC cost estimates. - Performing accurate material take-offs and quantity calculations for HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, chillers, AHUs, VRF systems, pumps, valves, and controls. - Evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotations and creating cost comparison reports to support decision-making. - Collaborating closely with design engineers, project managers, and procurement teams to ensure accurate and feasible estimates. - Monitoring market trends, material prices, and labor costs to provide up-to-date and competitive estimates. - Maintaining a database of historical project costs and supplier performance for reference in future estimations. - Assisting in value engineering initiatives to optimize costs while maintaining project quality and performance. - Ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and company policies during the estimation process. - Supporting project handover by providing accurate cost documentation and scope clarifications to the execution team. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelors degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or related field. - 2-3 years of experience in HVAC estimating, MEP projects, or construction cost estimation. - Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and industry standards. - Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. - Hands-on experience with estimation software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, MS Excel). - Knowledge of material costs, labor rates, and project budgeting. - Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with vendors, contractors, and project teams. - Ability to work under deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
