• Role Purpose:
• We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Manager with extensive expertise in the

synthesis of resins The ideal candidate will lead R&D, Quality Control, Technical Services,

and Regulatory Affairs for Company's products while contributing to business

development initiatives across various market segments.

• Must possess expertise in a broad range of research/technical solutions in the field of

Polymer Chemistry, Specialty Chemicals & Additives, Process Scale Up, New Product

Development and Technical Application Support to Customer. Passionate about emerging

markets, exploring unmet needs and deliver appropriate timely solutions to support Business

Needs.

• Key Deliverables:

• Strategic Responsibilities :

  Develop and implement the R&D strategy aligned with the

companys goals, focusing on innovation in composite & coating resins for various

applications.

• Research Management:

  Oversee all research projects, ensuring timely execution and

alignment with market demands. Foster a culture of creativity and scientific rigor within the

R&D team.

• Product Development:

  Lead the development of new resin formulations, including

Polyester Resins, acrylic polyols, specialty acrylates, polyester polyols, PU, TPU, modified

Silicons. Develop innovative formulations to enhance performance and compliance with

industry standards.

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, production,

and quality assurance to translate customer needs into viable product solutions.

• Market Analysis:

  Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging

technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.

• Budget Management:

  Manage the R&D budget effectively while ensuring optimal allocation

of resources for projects.

• Regulatory Compliance:

  Ensure that all products comply with relevant safety and

environmental regulations.

• Leadership :

  Provide scientific leadership to the R&D team and the organisation. Foster an

environment of knowledge sharing within the Team of 25 plus R&D professionals. Support

cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.

• IP management :

  Develop and execute intellectual property strategy aligned with business

objectives. Lead patent filing processes and maintain patent portfolio. Collaborate with legal

teams for IP protection and enforcement

• Product portfolio expansion :

  Identifying newer and adjacent chemistries to add on to

current portfolio

• Competencies

• Skills and knowledge in project management methodology and application
• Advanced knowledge of synthetic organic and process chemistry
• Knowledge and skills with production capabilities in a pilot plant and kilo lab environments
• Understanding of analytical chemistry and regulatory affairs is an asset
• Knowledge in operational leadership including resource management skills
• Customer-oriented, knows how to interact with customers and how to improve product

performance based on customer feedback.

• Qualification & Experience

• Education: Ph.D. or Masters degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of scientists and engineers; excellent project management skills.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present

complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum of 20 years of experience in R&D within the chemical or materials

industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Technical Skills: Strong background in resin chemistry and polymer processing; experience with coatings and Composites is highly desirable.
