Role & responsibilities

This role is responsible for leading and governing the plant-wide Quality Assurance, QMS, ensuring product conformity, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement through proactive quality practices, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Ensure product quality at all stages: Incoming, In-Process (Plate, Assembly, Charging), PDI, and Lab.
2. Drive QMS implementation, internal audits, MRM, and external/customer audit readiness. 3. Analyse customer complaints and scorecards; lead CAPA implementation and ensure effectiveness. 4. Ensure compliance to IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements. 5. Lead QA KPIs and performance reviews for the department and cross-functional teams. 6. Oversee supplier quality audits, vendor evaluation, and material inspection protocols. 7. Guide and monitor SPC, MSA, PPAP, and control plan adherence across the plant. 8. Collaborate with Production, R&D, Engineering, and Marketing for design support, capacity planning, and logistics inputs during new product launches. 9. Lead team capability development through training and process maturity improvements. 10. Establish and sustain a zero-defect, customer-focused quality culture across the plant.

Preferred candidate profile

BE/BTech in Engineering, preferably with specialisation in Quality or Industrial domains

1220+ Years in quality assurance with exposure to customer interaction, regulatory audits, and team leadership.

Mastery of QMS systems including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
2. Deep understanding of PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, 8D, 5Why, Fishbone. 3. Strong grasp of battery manufacturing QA checkpoints, lab analysis, and warranty investigations. 4. Skilled in handling customer audits, escalations, and technical queries. 5. Ability to influence plant leadership and drive systemic corrective actions. 6. Hands-on with QA analytics, audit trail documentation, and vendor compliance frameworks.
