Head - Procurement & Supply Chain

As the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain in India for a leading global manufacturing organization undergoing strategic realignment, you will be instrumental in establishing an independent industrial business tailored to the evolving automotive sector demands. Your pivotal role involves implementing globally aligned end-to-end supply chain strategies while ensuring regional execution with autonomy and accountability. Your responsibilities will include leading the execution of regional supply chain and procurement strategies in alignment with global objectives, while maintaining compliance with global frameworks and making independent decisions for region-specific operations. You will oversee supply chain metrics encompassing planning, procurement, logistics, and warehousing, and develop and optimize regional logistics strategies for operational excellence. Additionally, you will act as a liaison between global and regional teams to facilitate seamless coordination, manage risk mitigation plans, resolve intricate supply chain challenges, and ensure operational continuity. Building and leading a high-performing team based in India to foster a culture of ownership and innovation will also be a key aspect of your role. The ideal candidate for this position possesses 17-20 years of experience, including 5-10 years in leadership roles across procurement, planning, warehousing, and logistics. Demonstrated expertise in global logistics management, particularly in the automotive sector, proficiency in logistics tools and performance visualization platforms, and a strong understanding of international trade regulations, transportation management, and customs compliance are essential. Effective communication skills to engage with senior global stakeholders, a master's degree in a technical or business discipline (preferred but not mandatory), a strong leadership presence, a problem-solving mindset, and a can-do attitude are also crucial attributes.
