Paint Shop Head

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end operations of the

  paint shop

  including pre-treatment, base coat, clear coat, and curing processes for

  aluminum alloy wheels

  .
• Ensure process stability, paint quality, and defect-free output as per OEM specifications.
  
• Drive continuous improvement in paint quality, productivity, and line efficiency.
  
• Manage paint shop manpower, equipment uptime, preventive maintenance, and process audits.
  
• Monitor paint material consumption, inventory, and vendor coordination.
  
• Implement and sustain TPM, 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
  
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and statutory regulations related to painting operations.
  
• Collaborate with quality, production, maintenance, and R&D teams for NPD and process enhancement.
  
• Lead troubleshooting for paint defects such as orange peel, sagging, chipping, etc.
  
• Coordinate with OEMs for approvals, audits, and technical discussions.
  
• Lead and mentor a team of paint engineers and supervisors.
  

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Minimum

  15 years of experience

  in

  paint shop operations in alloy wheel manufacturing

  (mandatory).
• In-depth knowledge of alloy wheel painting technologies, equipment (robots, booths, ovens), and materials (powder/liquid paints).
  
• Familiarity with international quality standards and OEM audit requirements.
  
• Strong leadership, analytical, and team management skills.
  
• Experience in handling new product launches, line setups, and capacity expansion projects.
  
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  
• Hands-on exposure to

  environmental & safety standards

  in paint shops.
