Head of the Department (HoD) Computer Science

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Department (HoD) to lead our academic department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years' experience in an autonomous college and a proven ability to collaborate with industry, coordinate faculty, and guide students in internships, projects, and placements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead academic planning and ensure syllabus is completed on time.
• Coordinate with faculty for subject planning, class schedules, and exam preparation.
• Promote practical and project-based learning for students.
• Establish industry collaborations for internships, guest lectures, and projects.
• Recommend students to companies for internship and job placements.
• Guide students in career development, higher education, and skill enhancement.
• Organize department events, seminars, and workshops.
• Support faculty development through training and knowledge sharing.
• Maintain department records, reports, and documentation.
• Coordinate with the Placement Cell to improve placement opportunities.
• Encourage student participation in research, competitions, and hackathons.
• Ensure quality standards for NAAC/NBA and help with accreditation-related work.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree (Ph.D. preferred) in relevant discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of teaching/administrative experience in an Autonomous Institution.
• Proven track record in academic leadership and student development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
