Head of Molecular Biology & Cell Line Development

Role Overview: As the Head of Molecular Biology and Cell Line Development at Biocon Biologics, you will lead a team of 20-30 scientists in designing, developing, and optimizing molecular biology techniques for the production of biosimilar biologics. Your role will involve guiding the team to deliver company goals, innovating cutting-edge experiments, advancing science, collaborating with other functional groups, ensuring excellence in lab operations, staying updated with the latest advancements, and managing resources efficiently. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor the molecular biology team to foster collaboration and innovation - Design cutting-edge experiments to improve cell line development and create high-expression cell lines - Utilize techniques like DNA/RNA sequencing, cloning, and protein expression to develop genetic vectors - Collaborate with other functional groups and external partners to enhance capabilities - Maintain a safe and compliant lab environment - Stay updated with the latest advancements in molecular biology and incorporate new technologies into research programs - Oversee budgets, resources, and timelines for molecular biology projects Qualifications Required: - Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related fields with relevant post-doctoral experience - Minimum 15 years of experience in molecular biology and cell line development research post-Ph.D. - At least 5 years of leadership experience in cell line development roles - Expertise in molecular biology principles, gene expression systems, and cell line development - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment,
