Job Description

As the Head of Marketing & Communication, you will be responsible for providing strategic marketing leadership by developing and leading integrated go-to-market plans for product launches, partnership activations, and regional campaigns. You will oversee market positioning, competitor benchmarking, and channel mix optimization across Tier 13 cities. In this role, you will lead and manage a team of specialists across performance marketing, content, brand activations, and PR/communications. It is essential to foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, Commercial, and Customer Support teams. Ensuring timely execution, budget adherence, and measurable impact across all campaigns and marketing initiatives will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also serve as the primary marketing liaison for regulatory, media, and strategic partners in India, representing the India marketing function to the regional leadership. Coordinating with external agencies, media outlets, event organizers, and local influencers for execution and amplification is another crucial aspect of your role. Tracking and reporting on KPIs, including merchant acquisition, app downloads, brand equity, campaign ROI, and media reach, will be important for measuring the effectiveness of marketing strategies. Using market insights, performance data, and feedback loops to refine strategies and increase marketing effectiveness is also expected. Regular updates sharing with the Global Head of Marketing & Communication and senior stakeholders will be required. To excel in this role, you should have proven leadership experience in managing multi-disciplinary marketing teams in India. A strong understanding of India's consumer and merchant segments, digital behavior, and cultural diversity is essential. Excellent communication skills in English are required, and additional regional language fluency is a plus. Experience with performance-driven marketing, regulatory communication, brand strategy, and public/media relations will be beneficial. Key competencies for this position include strategic marketing planning, team leadership and development, integrated campaign management, stakeholder and agency management, performance analysis and reporting, brand and reputation building, market localization and cultural fluency, as well as media, PR, and regulatory communication. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that you will be responsible for include merchant acquisition growth and cost efficiency, app downloads, engagement, and retention, brand awareness and market share uplift, campaign ROI, and lead conversion rates, media SOV, sentiment, and earned coverage quality, as well as team performance, engagement, and delivery metric.,
