Website Link: https://icengg.com/ Head of Department-MEP -BIM Job Summary: The MEP Division Head is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational management, and financial performance of the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) division. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in MEP engineering, project management, and team leadership. The Division Head will drive business development, ensure project excellence, and foster a culture of safety and innovation within the MEP division. Responsibilities : 1. Strategic Leadership & Planning: Develop and implement the division's strategic plan in alignment with the company's overall goals. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including market analysis, client relationship management, and proposal development. Forecast and manage the division's financial performance, including revenue, profitability, and resource allocation. Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes, and incorporate them into the division's strategies. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve division performance. 2. Operational Management & Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of MEP projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards. Provide technical guidance and support to project managers and engineers. Implement and maintain effective project management processes and systems. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards. Manage and mitigate project risks and resolve complex technical issues. Lead the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery. Ensure proper commissioning and handover of completed projects. 3. Team Leadership & Development: Build and lead a high-performing team of engineers, project managers, and support staff. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities to team members. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Recruit and retain top talent to support the division's growth. Promote and enforce a strong safety culture within the division. 4. Business Development & Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and client outreach. Prepare and present proposals and presentations to potential clients. Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and subcontractors. Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and project delivery. 5. Financial Management: Develop and manage the division's budget and financial forecasts. Monitor and control project costs, ensuring profitability. Analyze financial reports and identify areas for improvement. Approve expenditures and ensure compliance with financial policies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable. Minimum of 12 years of experience in MEP engineering and project management, with a proven track record of success. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within an MEP division or similar organization. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, codes, and regulations. Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team. Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in project management software and other relevant tools. Strong understanding of financial management principles.
