1. Maintenance Strategy & Planning

• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs for CNC machines, machining centers, assembly lines, utilities, and precision equipment.
• Plan annual maintenance budgets, resource allocation, and spare-parts inventory.
• Implement TPM, Kaizen, and other reliability improvement initiatives.
  

2. Equipment Management

• Ensure proper functioning of CNC machines, PLC-controlled systems, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, compressors, chillers, DG sets, and utility equipment.
• Monitor machine performance, breakdown patterns, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Lead machine troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective actions.
  

3. Team Leadership

• Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance engineers, technicians, and support staff.
• Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and develop skill-upgradation programs.
• Foster a culture of safety, discipline, and accountability.
  

4. Safety, Compliance & Quality

• Ensure compliance with ISO/TS standards, statutory regulations, and plant safety policies.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and safety inspections for maintenance activities.
• Oversee documentation and ensure adherence to SOPs and maintenance protocols.
  

5. Vendor & Cost Management

• Manage external service providers, AMC vendors, and spare-part suppliers.
• Negotiate service contracts and ensure cost-effective maintenance operations.
• Optimize maintenance costs through condition-based monitoring and energy management.
  

6. Continuous Improvement

• Drive automation, machine upgrades, and digital maintenance initiatives (IoT-based monitoring, CMMS, etc.).
• Improve asset reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance process efficiency.
• Support new project installations, capacity expansions, and equipment commissioning.
  

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.

Experience Requirements

• 1218+ years of experience in a precision manufacturing, automotive components, CNC machining, or assembly-line environment.
• Proven experience leading large maintenance teams and handling high-volume production facilities.
  

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of CNC maintenance, PLC systems, pneumatics & hydraulics, utilities, automation, and robotics.
• Expertise in TPM, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, RCA, 5 Why analysis.
• Proficiency with CMMS/ERP-based maintenance systems.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production / Manufacturing Engineering (or related field). Higher degree a plus.
• Experience 15+ years in Maintenance in the automotive or auto components sector, with exposure to highvolume production and precision components.
