Head Finacial Planning and Analysis

Role Overview

The Head of FP&A, Accounts Receivable, MIS, and Finance Automation is a senior leadership role responsible for driving financial strategy, cash flow optimization, and data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics, robust MIS, and large-scale automation. The role oversees core finance functions including financial planning, forecasting, receivables, and management reporting, while leading digital and systems transformation initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability across finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
  
• Develop advanced financial models, scenario analyses, and sensitivity tools to support strategic and commercial decisions.
  
• Analyze actual performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insightful variance analysis and business commentary.
  
• Deliver high-quality financial reports, dashboards, and insights to the CFO, executive leadership, and business teams.
  
• Support capital allocation decisions, cost optimization programs, and profitability analysis.
  
• Drive adoption of automated planning and forecasting platforms (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Oracle PBCS) to improve speed, accuracy, and predictability.
  

2. Accounts Receivable (AR) & Working Capital Management

• Oversee end-to-end AR operations including invoicing, collections, cash application, and customer reconciliations.
  
• Define and implement risk-based credit policies to optimize working capital and minimize credit exposure.
  
• Drive automation of AR processes using RPA and analytics (e.g., automated invoicing, reminders, DSO monitoring).
  
• Leverage AI and predictive analytics to enhance credit assessment and payment behavior forecasting.
  
• Monitor and improve key AR metrics including DSO, collection effectiveness, overdue aging, and bad debt provisions.
  
• Partner with Sales, Legal, and Customer Service to resolve disputes and accelerate cash realization.
  

3. Management Information Systems (MIS) & Reporting

• Design and maintain robust financial MIS to enable timely, accurate, and actionable decision-making.
  
• Standardize financial and operational reporting across functions, ensuring consistency and transparency.
  
• Establish strong data governance and a single source of truth across finance and business systems.
  
• Lead the development of executive and operational KPI dashboards covering financial and business performance.
  
• Enable near real-time and self-service reporting to improve business agility.
  

4. Finance Automation & Digital Transformation

• Own and execute the finance automation and digital transformation roadmap.
  
• Identify and implement high-impact use cases for RPA, ML, and AI across finance, including:
  
• Budgeting and forecast consolidation
  
• Variance analysis and performance insights
  
• Cash flow forecasting
  
• Invoice processing and reconciliation
  
• Partner closely with IT, data, and transformation teams to ensure seamless system integration and data integrity.
  
• Drive adoption of cloud-based planning, reporting, and analytics platforms.
  
• Champion a digital-first, data-led mindset within the finance organization.
  

Leadership & Strategic Partnership

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of finance professionals, analysts, and automation specialists.
  
• Act as a strategic advisor to the CFO and senior leadership on financial performance, risk, and growth initiatives.
  
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business, technology, operations, and compliance teams.
  
• Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new systems, processes, and ways of working.
  
• Establish a Finance Center of Excellence for analytics, automation, and actionable financial insights.
