Head - Equity Trading (Dealer)

Job Summary

The Head - Equity Trading (Dealer) is responsible for executing high-impact trading strategies in the equity

markets to generate proprietary profits for the bank. Being Head for the trading, he is responsible for meeting

financial target for the equity desk. This role involves active participation in both secondary and primary

equity markets, including deal execution, broker management, and relationship building with external

counterparts. The dealer will also ensure compliance with regulatory requirements through the preparation

and review of necessary documentation. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses

strong market acumen, and demonstrates a proven track record in equity trading.

Key Responsibilities

Secondary Market Trading:

Actively trade equities in the secondary market to maximize proprietary profits, utilizing market analysis,

risk assessment, and real-time decision-making to identify and capitalize on trading opportunities.

Achievement of the yearly profit targets

Stop Loss Management

Deal Execution and Broker Management:

Execute trades efficiently across various platforms, negotiate terms, and manage relationships with external

brokers to ensure optimal pricing & execution.

Counterparty Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with other banks, financial institutions, and market counterparts to

facilitate smooth transactions, gather market intelligence, and explore collaborative opportunities.

Primary Market Activities:

Prepare detailed notes and documentation for internal approvals for subscribing to IPO/FPO.

Manage and execute transactions related to IPO, FPO

Compliance and Reporting:

Review and prepare notes, reports, and other documentation as required by applicable laws and regulations,

including those related to securities trading, disclosure, and risk management.

Monitoring:

Continuously monitor portfolio positions and volatility to mitigate potential losses and adhere to the bank's

risk appetite.

Market Analysis and Strategy Development:

Conduct in-depth analysis of equity markets, economic indicators, and company fundamentals to inform

trading strategies and contribute to the desk's overall performance.

Others:

Process Management & Continuous Improvement initiatives.
