Job Description

The Business Development & Client Relations Head will be responsible for:

  • Business Planning - Align BD objectives with the firm's strategic plan, develop annual practice group plans, track activities, trends, competitors, and expenditures, and collaborate with partners and consultants to maximise opportunities.
  • Client Development - Work with partners to identify, target, and develop clients, support client meetings with research and materials, and grow international referral networks.
  • Marketing Materials - Create consistent, engaging communication for clients and prospects, develop required marketing collateral, and find innovative ways to promote the firm's services.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Qualifications - LL.B and/or MBA (both preferred) with at least 15 years marketing/BD experience in professional services, ideally Tier I law firms.
  • Industry Knowledge - Competitive intelligence research skills and interest/background in law and law firm management.
  • Communication Skills - Excellent writing ability, interpersonal influence, and a professional, approachable demeanor.
  • Strategic & Analytical Ability - Strong judgment, decision-making skills, and advanced understanding of strategic marketing and communications.
